Hello, my name is Terry Mentzer, and I am the sole owner of Hometown Tax & Recordkeeping in Gowrie, Iowa. In 1999, while working at Heartland Bank, I decided that I was ready to try my hand at something new. Since I had already been working for many years with people on bookkeeping and tax information, I used my knowledge to start my own business.

This kind of work has always been something that I really enjoyed.. I started off in a small office by myself on Church Street in Gowrie. In 2001, I was offered a great opportunity to move into and share the space in the former law office of Dean Erb on Market Street, which is where I am still located today. I recently had the chance to expand my office in my current location, and am pleased to announce that Hometown Tax & Recordkeeping is now able to offer a more convenient and private interaction for clients.

Since 1999, my main focus has been on the clients that I serve. I do my best in each and every situation to keep the money in YOUR pocket, instead of mine. It is with my education (current and continuing) that I am able to find new ways to help you keep your money. I give the same detail to attention to both individuals and businesses. No client is too big or small, and each will recieve the same one-on-one customer service. Just remember...I am here for you and the success of your business.
